Product Review: Kosher Casual tank #1225

I waited a bit for this tank to arrive. Well, it did come from Israel. Regular international registered air mail generally takes 2-3 weeks [$6 shipping charge]. My patience, however, was rewarded.

I can't believe the Kosher Casual tank was only $11*. I've paid much more for layering pieces. First, the color: beautiful fuschia. Nicely saturated. Second, the fabric: LOVED IT. A fab combination of 92% cotton/8% lycra. Felt great on, wonderful breathability. Third, the fit: terrific. The neckline wasn't too high. Demure, without feeling suffocating. Layered perfectly under my scoop neck t-shirt. Really nice armhole openings too. Plus, the piece was long-waisted without being too long. I found the sizing to be a tad on the small size. Since I wanted a layering piece, I stayed with my medium. If you are large-chested, definitely go up a size.

I immediately test drove my tank. I felt completely confident and covered during my pilates and yoga classes. The garment stayed in place! No more Downward Dog drama. Overall grade: A-

Thanks to owner Gary Swickley for bringing Kosher Casual garments to the marketplace. I look forward to seeing more products and innovations! Best to you & your team.

* I am not paid for this review. I am not an affiliate of Kosher Casual. The tank was sent as a sample for review purposes.

I am thinking about ordering this same tank top and was wondering if you could answer a few questions for me. I would really appreciate it.

#1 Does the fabric feel more like a cotton or a lycra?

#2 Is the fabric see through or opaque?

#3 Would this tank top look appropriate to wear under nice cardigans or wrap dresses? I am looking for nice tanks to wear to church but I don't want them to look like athletic wear/ t-shirts under my clothes, but more fitted shells?

Again, thank you so much!!

Dear Dana,

Thank you so much for leaving a comment! Excellent follow-up questions. Here's some information & advice: 1.] The fabric feels like a stretchy-cotton t-shirt; slightly higher lycra content than a men's Merona undershirt. 2.] The fabric is NOT see-through. 3.] For me, this is definitely a "wear it to group exercise" kinda' t-shirt. I'd also feel confident wearing it as part of an athletic, casual ensemble; I always layer pieces like this one.

I just bought a beautiful chiffon-trim cami #42945 from Pendleton USA [on my retailer listing]. I also like Ann Taylor's oyster sateen tank #252842 which is stylish & versatile. I DON'T RECOMMEND Ann Taylor's camisoles. Unless tucked into pants, the camisole constantly rolls up. Annoying. Finally, try Soma Intimates. SI has a lovely vanishing edge camisole that'd be a perfect solution for you. Sometimes it is best to take your wrap dress with you into the store to see how everything looks as a whole. GOOD LUCK! And let me know how you do. All the best, Dena
