In Character

In Character magazine examines a single virtue from different perspectives, bringing together scholars and journalists versed in public policy, the humanities, religion, and the sciences. Imagine my delight when I saw the Winter 2006 Modesty issue! WOW ... Pia Catton's article on Dressing for the Occasion is well-written and thoughtful. She writes,
Modesty in dress is about turning oneself out with consideration for occasion, taste and economy.
What does living modestly mean in today's modern world? D.
